The GELATO DAY is coming!

It’s time to celebrate the twelfth edition of the European Artisanal Gelato Day, which falls on March 24th every year!

The European Artisanal Gelato Day represents a unique occasion, as it is the only day that the European Parliament has dedicated so far to a food item. Celebrated in all European countries, March 24th is a special moment to promote the culture of artisanal gelato through events, meetings, and initiatives.

The “Gelato Day” not only values the product itself but also contributes to promoting artisanal knowledge and developing the gastronomic tradition of the sector. A highlight of this day is the “Flavor of the Year,” chosen annually by one of the participating countries.

For this twelfth edition of Gelato Day, on March 24, 2024, the flavor of the year is the delicious “Gaufre de Liège,” chosen by Belgium. This neutral-based gelato, flavored with vanilla and cinnamon, variegated with salted butter, and accompanied by a Liege waffle, is a true delight for the palate.
